Cassandra Wolf chosen for Silver Garland Award

Cassandra Wolf was chosen for the Performing Arts category of the Silver Garland Awards, sponsored by the Lakeland Ledger. Her efforts included working with the Lake Wales Little Theatre over the past 12 years. In that time she joined the board of directors and implemented a drama club that began a free acting school for teens to gain communication and leadership skills. We are pleased to announce that LWHS is now authorized to teach the IB Diploma Program. We are currently accepting freshmen IB candidates for the fall of 2012. IB Information Meeting: Thursday, April 26th at 6:30 PM in the HS auditorium. Deadline to Apply: Friday, May 11th by 5:00 PM; rolling admissions subsequently, subject to availability. This is “Impact Week” at Lake Wales High, sponsored by the National Honors Society. Tuesday’s impact is to spend the entire day without the use of shoes, to bring about awareness of those in other countries less fortunate than ours that go everyday without a pair of shoes. TOM’s shoes is a company that supports effort to get everyone shoes. When you by one pair of TOM’s shoes they donate a pair of TOM’s shoes to someone in need of
